In a shocking incident, a burqa-clad woman threatened Salim Khan, the father of actor Salman Khan, invoking the name of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The incident occurred during Salim Khan’s regular morning walk on Wednesday at Mumbai’s Carter Road. The woman, accompanied by a man on a bike, approached him and asked, “Lawrence Bishnoi ko bulau kya (Should I call Lawrence Bishnoi)?”
The Mumbai Police are treating the matter seriously and have booked two individuals involved in the incident. Although the police suspect it might have been a prank, an investigation is underway to trace the culprits.
This incident follows the recent attack on Salman Khan’s Bandra residence, Galaxy Apartments, where two men on motorcycles fired five rounds in April, allegedly on orders from Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. The police have since arrested several people in connection with the shooting and have invoked the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against nine accused, including Bishnoi and his brother, Anmol Vishnoi, who is believed to have played a crucial role in organizing the attack.
Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently in jail, had previously threatened Salman Khan, claiming involvement in the murder of rapper Sidhu Moosewala.
